Welcome to my Blog.

I was nervous. I won't lie. Since New Years Day, there hasn't been a 24 hour period where it hasn't rained at all. But driving to Quinton in Birmingham on Saturday morning the sky was grey but bright and more importantly... DRY!

Meeting Chloe and Rhys was a real pleasure. Listening to them talk about their upcoming wedding in March at Birmingham Registry Office, it was clear they're both so excited and looking forward to it!

I was also introduced Narla, their little pooch who, unfortunately, can't be there on the day so we took this chance of getting a couple of nice pictures to add to the family album.

Quick answers for couples searching online

Are Engagement Photos Necessary?

Short answer? Yes.

Engagement photos are not just “nice to have”. They are one of the smartest things you can do before your wedding.

Your engagement session gives you the chance to meet your photographer properly, get comfortable in front of the camera and understand how they work. On your wedding day, you don’t want to feel like you’re being photographed by a stranger. You want to feel relaxed, confident and completely at ease.

That trust makes a huge difference. It shows in the images.

For couples in Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Staffordshire and Shropshire, engagement photos are a brilliant way to ease into the experience before the big day. You’ll quickly realise that being photographed isn’t awkward when it’s relaxed, candid and natural.

That’s exactly why engagement sessions are included free in all wedding packages. They’re not an upsell. They’re part of the process.

What To Wear For Engagement Photos

Keep it simple. Keep it you.

For relaxed and candid engagement photos, the goal is timeless and elegant rather than trendy and loud.

Here’s what works beautifully:

  • Neutral tones like cream, navy, soft greys, muted greens
  • Textures over busy patterns
  • Outfits that complement each other rather than match exactly
  • Clothes you feel confident and comfortable in

Avoid large logos, bold graphics and anything you’ll look back on in ten years and think “what was I doing”.

If you’re having your engagement photos in Birmingham city centre, you might lean slightly more polished. If you’re in the Shropshire countryside or around Staffordshire woodland, softer tones and layers work brilliantly.

The key is this. If you feel good, you’ll look good. The rest is taken care of.

Engagement Photos Near Me

If you’re searching for engagement photos near me in:

  • Wolverhampton
  • Birmingham
  • Staffordshire
  • Shropshire

You’re in the right place.

Engagement sessions can take place somewhere meaningful to you. That might be:

  • A city centre location in Birmingham
  • A countryside spot in Staffordshire
  • A woodland walk in Shropshire
  • A favourite park in Wolverhampton

The location matters less than the connection. The focus is always on natural interaction, genuine laughter and those in-between moments that feel like you.

How Much Do Engagement Photos Cost?

For couples who book a wedding package, engagement photos are included free.

That’s intentional.

They are part of building trust and helping you feel confident long before the wedding day arrives.

If you’d like a standalone couple engagement session in Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Staffordshire or Shropshire, sessions typically start around £200. For full details and availability, it’s best to get in touch.

Couple Engagement Photos

Couple engagement photos are not about stiff posing or forced smiles.

They’re about:

  • Walking together
  • Laughing naturally
  • A quiet moment in golden light
  • The way you look at each other when you forget the camera is there

The result is a collection of relaxed, candid and timeless images that reflect your relationship exactly as it is.

And when your wedding day comes around, you’ll already know how it feels to be photographed. No nerves. No awkwardness. Just trust.
